GROWTH HABIT	Billowy clumps that slowly spread with short rhizomes.
FOLIAGE	Grows 2-3ft. Fine-textured blue foliage. Very narrow, dark green foliage. Evergreen.
FLOWERING CHARACTERISTICS	In early summer, very showy, silvery-blue flowers emerge that mature to white seedheads through late fall. Grows 2-3ft above foliage.
WATER NEEDS	Drought-tolerant
SOIL PREFERENCES	Wide variety from sand to clay
SUN EXPOSURE	Full sun to light shade.
SEASONAL APPEARANCE	Warm-season grass. Winter dormant.

• Good to use in groups or masses
• ​Very versatile grass- great for groundcover and has showy flowers 
• Naturalizes from seed so it should not be used in places where it could threaten native ecology
• IMPORTANT: Eragrostis chloromelas is often mistaken for and mislabeled as Eragrostis elliottii in nurseries.
