MORE INFO
  • This low growing, compact grass is the shortest showy flowering grass we have ever come upon! Blue-green foliage makes a tight 6-inch clump that is topped by 4 to 6-inch tall flowers.
  • Flowers are purpley-black when they emerge in the spring and mature to tan seedheads by late-summer/fall. When in bloom, it is hard to resist touching those silky seedheads!
  • Angel Eyelash® blue grama grass is about half the size of the typical species Bouteloua gracilis. A truly miniature flowering grass, it is useful in groups or along the edges of walkways.
  • Great in containers with succulents and other drought-tolerant perennials. Also great between stepping stones.

ORIGIN
Our plants were collected in San Bernardino County on the edge of the Mohave Desert at 8500ft elevation. As far as we know, this clone is the only
Bouteloua in the trade that has native California genetics.
